Can You Make It?
Hey! You found yourself here on my page. That probably means you are a maker.
You like to make. You like to craft. You like to create.
That’s great! So do I!
Now, that that’s settled, I have a simple question for you.
Can you make it?
When your life is over, can you make it to heaven?
Have you done what it takes to earn heaven?
The answer, unfortunately, is no. There is nothing you can do to earn heaven.
The Bible says in Romans 3:23:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Again the Bible says in Romans 3:10-13
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
What if you went to grab a paintbrush for a project and not one was clean? Every single paintbrush was filthy and dirty and ruined. You’d probably be fixing to toss them in the garbage bin.
Hey, maybe some of those paintbrushes were used for good projects once. Maybe some are the best brand of brushes. That may be the case, but they are still filthy and “unprofitable”.
That’s us. That is each and every one of us.
Filthy, dirty, ruined and headed for the garbage bin of Hell.
BUT what if you just clean the brushes? Can you use them again if they are cleaned?
Yes! There is hope for the paintbrushes, and there is hope for you!
God loves you so much He provided a way to MAKE you “good enough” for heaven.
The Bible says in John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Again the Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
And again in Titus 3:5-6:
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;”
God knows we are filthy, dirty, and ruined. God knows we are headed for the trash bin of Hell. But He doesn’t want that for us. God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to take the payment for our sin.
That is God’s grace.
Jesus Christ – God’s son – sinless and perfect, died on the cross for the sins of the whole world.
The Bible says:
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
“And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.” 1 John 3:5
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2
Oh, what mercy and grace!
Jesus didn’t just die, He rose from the dead 3 days later just as it was prophesized throughout the Bible. Jesus defeated death to provide our way to life.
The Bible says:
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26
“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Matthew 28:5-6
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
I urge you to believe on Jesus Christ for your salvation today! Life is so uncertain. Who knows how much time you have left on this earth. If you are trusting in yourself to make it to Heaven, I’m sad to say that’s not where you will end up.
Accepting Jesus Christ’s payment for your sins is so simple. It’s as easy as ABC.
A – Admit that you are a sinner.
B – Believe that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for you.
C – Confess your sins to God.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9
“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:1-2
If you are ready to accept Jesus’ payment you can do that right now. In your heart you can pray to Him and say something like this:
“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know I have done things that are wrong, and because of that I have fallen short of your glory. But God, I believe that you sent your Son, Jesus to pay the price for my sins. I believe that He rose from the dead just as He said He would. Lord God, I confess my sins to you, and ask that you would forgive me. Please wash me in the blood of your Son, and make me clean and new. Please allow me to go to heaven when I die. In Jesus name, Amen.”
If you prayed this prayer today, please contact me and let me know. I would like to rejoice with you!
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 15:10′
